| X & Y Coordinates Say Nigeria: X & Y Coordinates Say Nigeria is a series of C-prints, charts, maps, and 3-D sculptures all modeled with the same data and X & Y coordinates. Ergo, the same x and y coordinates are displayed in a multitude of ways including represenation as rectangles when using Illustrator, scatter plot points and charts, line graphs, etc. when utilizing data management software (R or Excel), and even sculptural objects that have been generated in 3-D modeling software (Rhino) with a Z coordinate added (often derived from the W coordinate of the rectangle in Illustrator) and then printed on a Z-Corp 3D plaster printer. The series is ongoing and will continue until the great death finally cools my corpse. |
